Software Developer part time – Ideal for student (Kirkland)

We are seeking a part-time student intern to be the primary developer of a new application.The successful candidate will develop a new way of driving a 5-axis robotic sample stage of a Nion electron microscope. The development will combine mathematical modeling with practical image processing to accurately analyze the complex motion of the sample as the stage is moved. The candidate will be responsible for coding, testing and documenting the new software. He/she will work closely with the project manager, who will provide guidance and oversight of the work.
We are looking for a student in Computer Science or equivalent degree, with knowledge of programming and mathematics. The position will be paid hourly and will consist of 8-20 hours (negotiable) per week with the potential for longer-term employment after the project is complete.

Required Skills / Abilities:
C++ and C#
mathematical modeling of 3D motion
team player, with excellent references for communication and cooperation
Seattle-area candidates only. Work is on-site near downtown Kirkland.
Salary up to $30/hr depending on experience.
