Mid-Sized Design Firm in Seattle is currently looking for a HelpDesk Manager.
The role of HelpDesk Manager (HDM) is to coordinate and manage all aspects of the helpdesk system and all other customer facing interactions. The HDM will coordinate and route all tickets received by the Helpdesk system, managing all resolutions and facilitating communication as necessary to the customer. HDM will also oversee the Sr. Helpdesk Analyst to ensure proper ticket resolution, and the highest level of customer satisfaction possible. The HDM is ultimately responsible for the following:
Front-Line Support
Helpdesk Duties
Desktop Management both Mac and PC
Hardware Inventories
Lease Returns
Conference Rooms
Software Inventories and Maintenance
Printer Maintenance
Font System Administration
Phone System and Telephony Equipment
Training and New-User Orientations
Documentation
Previous Helpdesk Management or supervisory role in IT is required. Must be highly motivated and be able to work with high-touch users. We are in the people business, so interpersonal and communication skills are mandatory. Previous creative environment would be a plus. Experience with the following technologies and systems would be ideal:
Mac OSX 10.5 and 10.6 in Active Directory Environment
Windows XP and WIN7 in AD Environment
Knowledge of Adobe CS3 and CS4
Avaya IP PBX
Xerox CLCs and Splash RIP
All Office Suites, including Office 2008 and Entourage

Full time, year round position. This position is responsible for helping with server administration. This includes: monitoring disk usage, reviewing both server and SharePoint logs for errors; checking log sizes and purging when necessary, watching Windows Updates on server; researching contents of updates and testing before installing, and verifying backups. Must understand and test restore process. Involved in disaster recovery planning, expansion planning, and working with network team to ensure server and website are functioning at all times. SharePoint development includes: regularly meeting with users (ops, sales, admin, finance) to review and understand business processes and determining if SharePoint can be used to centralize data and/or streamline a process; taking business process and building custom SharePoint process using various applications including Office, SharePoint Designer, InfoPath and Visual Studio; Providing SharePoint end user training and advanced training to users who do content and site level management; SharePoint security management; Installing Kiosks (thin-client machines) in locations easily accessible to warehouse, delivery and sales personnel to increate intranet access; and continuing development of Supplier portal with sales. Position will be responsible for intranet maintenance which includes: monitoring and reviewing site statistics, and reviewing data and soliciting current content maintenance from users.
