This position is responsible for turning complex customer data into highly actionable and customized e-mail campaigns. Note: This is not a design position. We are seeking someone with strong front end coding/development and exposure to back end coding/development concepts. A successful candidate will demonstrate a willingness to go above and beyond to get the job done. You should also be detail oriented with a strong focus on quality.
This is a fast-paced, high volume production oriented environment with an emphasis on meeting tight timelines and flawlessly executing client requirements. You'll have the ability to work with strongly-branded clients and creative problem solving and troubleshooting skills lead to success and possible advancement.
Position Details
' Analyze and revise HTML assets and code where necessary to integrate with internal tools and render properly across multiple platforms
' Work with internal Creative team to acquire assets in a variety of formats including Photoshop
' Troubleshoot and fix HTML rendering issues
' Complete campaign setups and change rounds in rapid succession with minimal rework
' Make suggestions for coding improvements to enhance campaign render-ability across a wide range of popular e-mail clients (Outlook, Hotmail, Yahoo!, etc.)
' Coding email campaigns to be rendered in cross-browser and cross-platforms (IE 6 to 8, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, etc.)
' Efficiently utilize the company's cutting edge campaign management tools
' Write clear and concise documentation to support cross-training efforts
' Often work with other technical groups to implement new projects
Required Qualifications
' Note: Please submit samples of your work/portfolio along with your resume when applying for this position
' Must have an expert knowledge of HTML and the demonstrated ability to hand code utilizing traditional nested tables as well as CSS styling without the use of a visual editor
' Certificate in Web Technologies, Associate's Degree in a related field or 2 years of dynamic email/web development experience
' Familiarity with SQL and Object Oriented programming fundamentals and skills in either PHP, ASP, JSP, CF a must
' Must have a high attention to detail with the ability to produce flawless work in rapid succession Outstanding ability to handle multiple projects at once and meet hard deadlines
' Must have the ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects at once, prioritize work independently and meet hard deadlines
' Must possess effective communication skills when speaking to technical and non-technical personnel
' Basic Photoshop skills
' A successful candidate will take a proactive approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting

Primary Responsibilities:
- Learn and utilize the company's cutting edge campaign management tools
- Complete and QA campaign setups and change rounds in rapid succession with minimal errors
- Analyze provided HTML assets and revise code where necessary in order to integrate assets with internal tools
- Work on and prioritize tasks within a daily queue
- Communicate with client-facing Campaign Associates to obtain email campaign requirements
- Learn, demonstrate, and update HTML best practices for rendering content with maximum compatibility in a wide range of popular email clients (Outlook, Hotmail, Yahoo!, etc.)
- Write clear and concise documentation to support cross-training efforts across the team
- Other duties as required
- 1-2 years of web programming or Hobbyist/Freelance experience (please have a web portfolio or site examples available) (Required)
- Demonstrated ability to hand code HTML using traditional nested table structure as well as CSS styling techniques. (Required)
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work independently (Required)
- Strict attention to detail and a passion for quality (Required)
- Proactive problem-solving and troubleshooting skills (Required)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment (Required)
- Understanding of basic Programming Principles (Preferred)
- Familiarity with basic Adobe Photoshop Functionality (editing layered files, slicing and exporting optimized images) (Preferred)
- Experience developing web pages utilizing Coldfusion, PHP, ASP, JSP, or Perl (A Plus)
- Exposure to relational database structure (primary and unique keys, sister table joins) (A Plus)
- Experience developing web pages utilizing SQL (A Plus)
