Posh Consulting is seeking a Web Systems Engineer for our customer in Redmond, WA.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the installation, maintenance, management, and monitoring of web servers (SharePoint)
Configures, installs, tunes, and support of network operating systems
Schedules, implements, and verifies system patches and upgrades
Develops and implements network and system security measures
Provides technical support to other support and development groups
Updates and maintains system documentation and support procedures
Creates and tests disaster recovery procedures for online web systems
Requirements

Experienced in F5 load balancing, SSL configuration, and content distribution
5+ years of network integration experience in a complex network environment
2 to 3 years of SharePoint Server system administration experience
Proven expertise in Web Server integration and troubleshooting
In-depth knowledge of Internet services, standards, and protocols
Experience with TCP/IP protocol analysis, configuration, and troubleshooting
5+ years of experience with relational databases (SQL preferred.)
Education

Undergraduate degree in computer science, a related field or equivalent

Sr. SQL Database Administrator (Redmond)

Overview:

WildTangent is looking for a Senior SQL Database Administrator to join its Internet Operations team. The SQL DBA will work with our system engineers and developers to manage our production databases using industry best practices. This individual will be responsible for the all aspects of our production database systems including daily performance, maintenance and monitoring to ensure SLA targets are achieved.

Responsibilities:
Manage highly visible production databases in a high-uptime web environment.
Manage pre-production databases to ensure appropriate test environment.
Work with corporate and data warehouse teams to assist in SQL administration as requested.
Work with various internal teams during the database design and development cycle to ensure optimal performance, and compliance with standards and best practices.
Manage all database activities required to support releases of new applications to production servers.
Monitor database performance and capacity.
Perform database backups, restores, and database maintenance tasks, and develop scripts and stored procedures to automate such tasks.
Develop SQL scripts to automate, schedule, and monitor jobs.
Develop and implement database security best practices and ensure PCI-DSS compliance.
Perform SQL installations and upgrades.
Manage changes to databases in all environments.
Recommend and deploy appropriate monitoring and management tools.
Develop, document, implement, and test disaster recovery strategies.
Develop standards and create process documentation.
Provide 24x7 on-call support.

Skills/Experience Required:
Expertise in MS SQL Administration for SQL 2005/2008 Enterprise Edition.
Strong skills in hardware architecture, Microsoft Operating systems, networking and storage.
Ability to monitor server resource utilization and recommend system level upgrades.
In-depth knowledge of database monitoring and performance tuning best practices.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Cluster Services and SQL Clustering.
Strong Transact SQL (TSQL) skills.
Knowledge of SQL replication technologies
Experience with server and storage troubleshooting.
Excellent problem solving skills combined with a strong desire to learn.
Effective teamwork and good communication skills.
Excellent technical writing skills.
Minimum of five years SQL administration experience in a production environment with in-depth expertise in the following technical areas: Microsoft Clustering Services, SQL Clustering, TSQL programming, performance tuning.
College course work in Information Systems or Computer Science is required and a BS or BA degree is highly desired.

Summary
The Linux System Administrator shall support, maintain and participate in the design, growth and development of all client's Linux computer networks and systems. The networks shall include the T1, all Frame Relay connections, and all Internet connections. The systems shall include client's Data Centers internal network of computers, servers, and printers.

The Linux System Administrator shall procure, control and maintain all software (non-client generated SW) used, and ensure that client is in compliance with all SW license agreements.

Major Duties:
1. Maintain Operation of the client Data Center. This includes monitoring operations and taking whatever action necessary to maintain smooth operation and recovery from outages. This includes checking operation of all major components daily during normal working hours. The Linux System Administrator shall train and certify additional duty center operators as required to provide continuous monitoring whenever the System Administrator is on leave or off work. Responsible for implementing & maintaining the monitoring system.

2. Participate in Data Center Design, Growth, and Development. The Linux System Administrator shall work with the IT Manager to ensure that the Data Center and Computer systems shall be able to provide the necessary service to meet the current and anticipated requirements of its customers in a reliable, robust and secure manner. Specific tasks shall include identifying, pricing, budgeting, buying, and installing needed hardware and software.
