Quality Assurance Tester
The Quality Assurance Tester will participate in a small, talented development group to provide extensive black box and automated testing of Web Services and Web application software. The QA Testers main goal is to test software throughout the software development life cycle. Knowledge of software test principles and procedures, experience with automated testing, and a willingness to adapt to meet project and customer needs are required. Primary responsibilities are to work closely with the development team to:
Review and verify requirements
Design test plans
Spec and create test cases
Expand and implement automated testing of the database, Web service and UI by coding, debugging and maintaining test scripts.
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of hands-on testing of Web Services and Web application software
Experience with automated web and web service testing tools preferred
Willingness to learn sales tax requirements and subject-matter
Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented with an aptitude and love for testing and finding bugs
Passionate customer advocate and flexible team player
Computer Science background preferred
Interested in working with an international development team
Knowledge of SQL required
Knowledge of Microsoft .NET and XML a plus
Understanding of web based technologies
Knowledge of the software development life cycle
Familiarity with industry testing practices

Technology Innovations Group is seeking Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team of consultants working on the Hitachi Unified Compute Platform (UCP) Engineering team, on site in Bellevue, Washington. These positions require experienced QA Engineers to architect test plans, design test cases and provide hands-on leadership during test execution.
UCP Engineering utilizes a highly collaborative, sprint team development model that requires deep QA involvement on all engineering projects from start to finish. The QA Team is also counted on to provide significant engineering leadership during the Release End Game phase.
